Some descriptionA warm welcome to experienced marketing professional Nick Oppenheimer who has joined the CIM Midlands Board as creative communication ambassador.

Nick is currently executive planning director at McCann Birmingham and has a wealth of experience having worked in the strategy, research and planning function of a creative agency since graduating from Bath University in 1987. 

In the most recent past, Nick has established and developed the insight and strategy division for McCann in its Birmingham office, offering new market research and strategy services which complement creative brand and communication planning. 

Nick has worked in the UK, across Europe, in the US and Asia-Pacific environments to deliver planning, insight and engagement which focus on demand creation issues for consumer, channel and business-to-business audiences.  Nick has immersed himself in many different sectors from automotive to aerospace, boilers to bricks, coffee to car rental ... which experiences have provided wide ranging insight.

CIM Midlands chair Paul Connor says, “We are delighted to welcome Nick to our new strategic board.  As one of our new ambassadors Nick will help us deliver a range of activities designed to meet the career development needs of CIM members in the Midlands.”

Nick has been instrumental in delivering our first Creative Communications conference ‘Storytelling in a digital world’ which is being held in Birmingham on 23 November.
