Loughborough College awarded with commendations from CIM
In a new feature, CIM PR team spoke to Loughborough College, one of CIM’s ASC’s (Accredited Study Centres) who have achieved a series of commendations, marking its ninth year of success with a leading international marketing organisation.
CIM has now awarded more than 30 commendations to Loughborough College - and has congratulated its staff, tutors and students for the hard work and commitment which led to its most recent achievement.
The Awarding Body at the CIM said ‘well done’ to the College ‘for the excellent standard of results achieved’ during the December 2018 assessment session for the Strategic Marketing module of the Diploma in Professional Marketing, for the Marketing Principles module of the Foundation Certificate in Marketing and for the Marketing module of the Certificate in Professional Marketing.
“We are thrilled with this continuing success,” said Renee Lee-Brown, who has been a professional qualifications lecturer at Loughborough College for almost a decade. “I really am over the moon that the CIM has now recognised the College with more than 30 commendations. I am a passionate marketer and thoroughly enjoy working with students from so many different industries and bouncing ideas around.”
Renee says she has no doubt the College’s consistent, outstanding results are achieved not only by offering individual support to each student but also by bringing marketing expertise gained from almost 20 years of industry experience.
“My starting point is to talk to each student about their background, where they work and their ambitions and then to ensure I offer the best possible support and guidance to fit those individuals.
“It also makes a huge difference to be able combine academic theory with practical application, relating everything I present in the classroom to examples or suggestions based on my real-life experience. That really brings things alive for students.
“The fact that we have had major companies return to us year after year to train their staff and that we are drawing students to Loughborough from as far afield as Peterborough, Grantham and Lichfield is, I hope, testament to what we are offering.
“And we have some very exciting plans to develop our marketing offer at Loughborough College, building on that almost decade of success – so watch this space.”
“The Chartered Institute for Marketing qualifications at Loughborough College have consistently produced fantastic results and with Renee delivering on this qualification over the past ten years it is no coincidence that the programme has done so well,” added Dan Apparicio, degree level engineering, creative and professional curriculum manager at Loughborough College.
“This consistency of support for the students is clearly a key factor in the success over a long period of time. We must also give credit to the students that are attracted to the programme. We are fortunate every year to recruit excellent students from industry.
