CIM Welcomes new Communications Ambassador to its Midlands Committee

We are delighted to share that we have new talent joining our CIM Midlands Committee. The Chartered Institute of Marketing have earlier this month appointed a new Communications Ambassador, Chrissy Cottrell MCIM to its Midlands Group. Chrissy joins our other Communications Ambassador, Katerina Pickup MCIM on the CIM Midlands Comms team under the leadership of Vice Chair-Communications, Di Tunney FCIM.

Chrissy is a Marketing Manager at a leading agricultural seed breeder and has over 17 years’ experience in marketing for both B2B and B2C businesses across a wide variety of sectors. She has a broad knowledge of marketing, she is an innovative, creative, and goal-orientated marketing professional with a successful track record delivering customer-focused strategic marketing to support business objectives.

Having spent many years as a stand-alone marketer, Chrissy is passionate about the benefits the CIM membership can bring to all marketeers at all levels. She said: "I am so pleased to have been appointed as Communications Ambassador and I am looking forward to raising awareness of the CIM to marketers in the Midlands. Having CIM training and the community behind you makes the world of difference when it comes to confidence, understanding strategy and being a better marketer."

As the landscape of marketing continues to change with the ever-evolving Covid-19 pandemic, marketers have the opportunity to lead through uncertain times and shown to businesses just how vital the role of marketing is for the growth (or even survival) of an organisation. Marketers have been in a strong position to deliver real value to businesses, by leading communications, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and by delivering killer ROI campaigns, often with a greatly reduced budget.

Here at CIM Midlands, we bring the benefits of CIM resources to the region. From online events and discussions to (hopefully soon) face to face networking events and training workshops, we support local marketers, helping you develop your career and help others to make the Midlands marketing community stronger and more resilient than ever. Meet your CIM Midlands Committee here.
