The state of marketing for small business

Small and medium enterprises (with up to 249 employees) make up 99.8% of private sector businesses in the capital and half of London jobs according to statistics from BIS and ONS. Whether you work for a small or medium enterprise (SME) as many CIM members do, or count SMEs amongst your customers, the importance of SMEs to the capital’s economy is beyond question. Our recent survey provides a snapshot of marketing within SMEs. Conducted with YouGov and ResearchNow, we explored the business performance, approaches to marketing and primary challenges facing SMEs. Our key findings are presented as an infographic summarising the state of marketing for small businesses.
