Leading professional body for marketing and business development, CIM (The Chartered Institute of Marketing) has made three appointments to its most senior Welsh roles.
Ceri Rowland takes on role of Network Manager for Wales, while voluntary Board members Jade Tambini and Syed Sameer Rahman have been elected as Chair and Vice Chair respectively.
Cardiff-based Ms. Rowland will be responsible for leading and growing CIM’s community of marketers in Wales, with the support of its eight-strong Welsh Board.
After starting her career with global brand, American Express, Ms. Rowland gained 20 years’ experience in marketing and business development, holding a string of senior positions at leading companies including British Airways Airmiles and Reed Business Information.
Speaking about the new role, Ms. Rowland, said: “There’s a huge amount of talent and innovation within Wales’ marketing industry and it’s an exciting time to be a marketer in Wales. With the Board, I will be working to raise the profile of marketing on the business and Government agenda and supporting students and members here in Wales, ensuring their skills are at the cutting edge of their industry through CIM’s accredited training centres, Graduate Gateway universities, bespoke solutions, and ongoing peer support.”
Stepping up to the role of Chair after serving seven years on the Board, Ms. Tambini, marketing director at Cardiff and Bristol-based Yolk Recruitment, said: “As Chair, my aims are to ensure that CIM Wales is both relevant and engaging for members and the wider marketing profession, creating an all embracing marketing community representing the professional voice of marketing in Wales.”
Mr. Rahman, head of analytical insight and research at Response One, becomes Vice Chair supporting Jade and the Board with advice and guidance while helping the team to deliver a programme of training and continuous professional development events, as well as CIM Wales’ annual industry awards which will take place later this year.
