Regional Update March 2021

What’s happening on our region in three short updates from Brian Doidge our Chair:

Events

As you know as part of the institute's response to the national emergency, the CIM's regional teams have been collaborating to bring high quality, topical webinars to our members. The South West has already arranged two of these, with more in the pipeline. Our first with Katie Hart in October, was very well received and we were really delighted with the response to Gordon Seabright's excellent insight into Leading through turnaround and transformation on January 26th. Thank you so much for the very encouraging and overwhelmingly positive feedback. We are already well advanced with our planning for our next one, which is being delivered by Tim Johnson from Deloitte and further details will be coming out very soon. To find out more about the webinars that are coming soon, please visit our Events and Networking page as usual.

Communication

We are continuing to develop ways to keep in touch and we are particularly pleased with the way the LinkedIn forums are going and thank you to those who continue to engage with it. In addition, we are also reinvigorating our Twitter activity and thank you to all of you who have already been engaging with us, it is very encouraging. Our website news area is still being maintained and further details are available on this news page.

Education

Even in these unusual times, we are managing to stay connected to our valued education community in the South West. Save the date: 26th May.  There is going to be a Mike Warne Event this year, yes remote, yes in conjunction with Bournemouth University, yes it will be another amazing event. See you there!
