An exciting opportunity is available for marketing professionals to join our South West & Channel Islands Committee on a voluntary basis. The role of the Committee is to create and deliver a range of activities designed to meet the career development needs of CIM members in the region, as well as enhancing engagement with the wider business community.

We are looking to add a couple more people to our tight knit team to further enhance the initiatives offered and to share the tasks:

Education Ambassador – Responsible for promoting careers in marketing and the benefits of CIM qualifications to undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship students at our Accredited Degree Partner universities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing practitioner ideally working in Higher or Further Education with connections in this sector.

Events Ambassador – This role involves the planning, organising and delivery of an annual events programme, liaising with our Vice Chair and the CIM Events team to list and promote events, pre-event administration and event management. The ideal candidate will be an event professional with a proven track record of developing, leading and managing face-to-face and hybrid events with a focus on driving results.

Communications Ambassador – this role involves content marketing; curating and creating material for the South West & Channel Islands regional website and social media channels. The Communications Ambassador will liaise with Vice Chair and is also a point of contact for our CIM PR and Communications team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing, to work with us to grow our online presence and engagement.

To be eligible for the above roles you must be a current CIM member at any level and based in the South West region. Appointments are for an initial term of office of three years.
