Mark Davis takes up Education Ambassador role
Mark Davis who is Fractional Lecturer and Course Manager on the CIM and BTEC Leadership and Management courses at Yeovil College has taken up the role of Education Ambassador on CIM South West’s community board.
The board includes ambassadors that represent marketers in specific industry sectors. We announced that Leighton Jones will represent the Food, Drink and Agriculture sector and Barbara Stopher the Small Business community in last month’s newsletter and the team has now been further strengthened by the addition of Mark.
Maureen Wincott, CIM South West network manager said: “We are delighted that Mark is joining the South West board. He brings a wealth of experience as a marketer, an educationalist and CIM senior examiner to our team. His role will include engaging with students at sixth form colleges, accredited study centres and Graduate Gateway partner universities, as well as attending graduate and skills fairs.”
Mark has been involved with marketing for over 35 years, and education for around 25 years. He also has a wealth of industrial knowledge gained in private, public and NFP sectors including construction, FE/HE and charities. His first marketing role was in building materials whilst undertaking his CIM qualifications part-time. He has also supported SME’s as a consultant/trainer. Mark is a life-long learner achieving his MA from UWE whilst working full time for a charity. He has now returned to the education sector to offer exciting new learning opportunities for marketers with the CIM as senior examiner and online lecturer.
Mark comments: “As the marketing environment is ever changing, it is important that marketers grow and develop. I am excited by the opportunity to be part of the CIM’s educational plans to bring together experience and youth for the benefit of the marketing community.”
