Some descriptionChristine Boswell-Munday has managed the teams in the South West for a long time and will be a familiar face to many members in the region. Part of her remit has been also managing CIM’s many Sector Interest Groups (SIGs).  From June  these will be Chris’ sole focus, here Chris reflects on her time working with the South West region.

During my time with the South West region, I have seen it grow from strength-to-strength. With the support of the regional board and local team, we have provided a varied range of activities and events for CIM members and all practising marketers. We have also built some really good relationships with the academic institutions, professional bodies and government organisations across the region. The best part of the role has been working with the many stakeholders, marketers and the regional team.

I am really pleased to be handing over to my colleague Maureen Wincott, as she has a passion for marketing, education and great enthusiasm and new ideas. Together, with the new chair, Brain Doidge, I am sure they will develop the region even further.

It has been great fun interacting with the marketers from a wide diversity of South West businesses. People are at the heart of what we do and meeting and working with so many has been both fascinating and rewarding. So it is a little sad to be moving on, but I am really looking forward to my new role in developing the CIM Sector Interest Groups. I shall be engaging with the wider marketing community on a focussed sector basis to see how we can provide added value for our members.

As I continue to live in the South West, I hope I will see many of you at various events in the future. A big thank you to you all for the support you have given to me personally and also to CIM.
