In March, members of the CIM in Dorset team attended a new exclusive event series for leading marketers and digital experts in Dorset. Over sixty people attended the event from leading local brands including Lush, AFC Bournemouth, Olives et Al, Urban Guild and Lilliput Health.

Hosted by digital agency, Greenwood Campbell, the Fable series of seminars explores and celebrates market-leading, user centric digital brands. A two-hour seminar, followed by drinks and canapes, allowed guests to hear from brands that are investing in, understanding, connecting and better sculpting their offering around their customer.

Kelly Butler, CIM in Dorset’s Deputy Chair and Marketing Executive at Greenwood Campbell explains: “The seminar theme was ‘Know Thy User’ - a focus on understanding the people interacting with your brand’s website - their emotions, thoughts, behaviours and distractions. Speakers included Rob King, Khalid El-Qasabagli and David Connolly from LV= who provided insights into their ‘test and learn’ approach in their overview of the LV= Fast Track Innovation team.”

Jonathan Some descriptionDavies founder of The Training Room, discussed how digital marketing has disrupted the education and training sector. Stuart Jolley, founder of male grooming brand, Wingman explored their digital journey onto the shelves of the UK’s biggest supermarket. Meanwhile Adam Greenwood, co-founder of Greenwood Campbell, discussed the various stages of user behaviour and how marketers can influence each of these stages to convert users into buyers.
