After studying Arts Management at De Montfort University, Claire became interested in media and communications and spent a short time as a journalist before working in communications and then moving into marketing.

Claire has more than eight years’ experience in marketing, during which time she has completed both the CIM Level 4 and Level 6 qualifications and currently is working towards her Chartered Marketer status, whilst working full time.

Throughout her time at Screwfix, Claire has worked in various marketing roles including as the Local Marketing Manager, overseeing the launch of new stores and trade counter marketing initiatives, and the Key Promotions and B2B Marketing Manager.

Claire then took on the challenge of being the Global Brand Manager for Triton Tools at Powerbox International.

Recently, Claire moved to Cheltenham and is now thoroughly enjoying her role as an Associate Channel Manager for Kohler Mira Ltd.

With a passion for continual learning, Claire is excited to be part of the team and meeting new students as well as giving advice to those who are currently studying.

Phil is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Chartered Marketer and holds diplomas in Marketing, Direct Marketing and the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing. He is responsible for raising the profile of the CIM among members and the wider marketing and business community across the East of England and Greater London.

After leaving school at 16, Phil went to college to train to become an Accountant – there he saw the light and switched to studying marketing with CIM. The rest is history… Consequently, he is now a strategic marketer with over 20 years’ experience in a range of senior marketing positions.

Previously he was Director of Marketing at Archant Norfolk, part of Archant Group Ltd, one of the leading regional media companies in the UK. Phil was responsible for the marketing and sales of Archant Norfolk’s newspaper, web and magazine titles. In addition, he controlled the company’s market research and database marketing activities. He specialises in New Product Development, Marketing Strategy and Market Research as well as integrated marketing communications.

In his spare time he likes to bob around the Mediterranean on a huge cruise ship visiting exotic locations. Cruising also gives him the opportunity to practice his ballroom dancing skills.

Gerry Vincent FCIM

Gerry is a marketing communications director who has worked in both FTSE 100 companies and brand consultancies for companies operating in the UK and global market sectors. She’s currently communications director for Leader Communications, a fully integrated marketing agency up in Stratford upon Avon, with a large portfolio of national and international clients. She works mainly on B2B campaigns across engineering and manufacturing, distribution, sustainable building, corporate governance and professional training.

She’s a passionate, life-long learner (as you can see!). She’s a Fellow with CIM and was awarded the Association of Business Leaders Executive Diploma in Digital Business (Distinction) where she focused on strategy development, data leverage, story-telling, customer journey mapping and innovation.

She holds Google's Post-Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing and the IoD's Diploma in Company Direction.

Verity is Co-Founder and Director at Roots to Market, a marketing agency in Exeter. Roots to Market is a demand generation specialist delivering marketing with a sales attitude to our international client base. Roots to Market are proud HubSpot Solutions Partners and are passionate about using the best marketing techniques to reach, attract and convert prospects to deliver results for our clients.

Verity has worked in both marketing agencies and in-house marketing teams. Having a varied career before finding marketing as a specialism, Verity has completed both the CIM Level 4 and Level 6 qualifications to enhance her marketing career.

With a background in event marketing, campaigns, digital marketing and demand generation. Verity now leads a growing team of professionals, leading client strategies, delivery of marketing activity and overall business growth and direction.

Verity is passionate about marketing delivering tangible results and being recognised for its contributions within the C-Suite. She enjoys working closely with clients to align their marketing and sales process, so that rather than friction between these revenue generating departments, they support each other for overall success.

Taking all this passion, Verity is thrilled to be a member of the board, representing the views & hearing the opinions of the marketers in the South West.

Tyler Lawrence ACIM Chartered Marketer

Tyler is the Head of Marketing for property developer, Lifestory. Having relocated from Essex for this role, Tyler is now located in Lifestory’s regional office in Cheltenham. Tyler has worked across both B2B and B2C, previously working for EY and other organisations.

Tyler is a member of Lifestory’s Regional Leadership Team for the Midlands and North, covering multiple developments located from Bristol up to Newcastle and is responsible for the regional marketing strategy, ensuring its effectiveness in delivering the business objectives.

Tyler has pursued a marketing career since studying business studies at GCSE. Finding a passion for this profession, one which can influence all aspects of a business and can deliver tangible outcomes and value for a business.

After studying Business and Advertising Management at Buckinghamshire New University, Tyler has since gone on to complete the Level 6 and the Leading Change Level 7 qualifications. In April 2020 he achieved Chartered Marketer Status.

Tyler is delighted to be a member of CIM's South West Regional Board. With a focus on education, he is looking forward to building on the relationships already developed with partner Universities and engaging with students seeking a career within marketing.

Elenor Bouchet is a Freelance Marketing Consultant based in Jersey and founded Golden Thread Marketing in 2021. Her current client list includes market leading clients in the Technology, Recruitment and Finance industries.

Elenor has more than 20 years’ experience in offshore financial services marketing having previously been Head of Marketing & Business Development for Fairway Group, a fiduciary services provider of trusts, funds and pensions. Prior to that she was Head of International Marketing for Ashburton Investments, the asset management arm of South Africa’s largest financial services groups, FirstRand and started her career on the Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBSI) graduate training programme, eventually becoming Corporate Marketing Manager.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), holds the CIM Post Graduate Diploma and has held Chartered Marketer status since 2007. She graduated from the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside with a BA (hons) in Business Studies.

As Channel Islands Amabassdor her role will be to connect the Channel Islands’ CIM members with the wider CIM

Chris is a marketing professional with a career spanning 20+ years. He has worked in a number of sectors covering market insight, product and brand management, ABM and strategic marketing. Sector specialties include electrical consumer goods, beverage ingredients and flavours, food safety & quality and now all things related to health sciences.

Currently, with NSF, a global organisation with a mission to protect and improve human health. Chris works alongside experts in medtech, pharmaceutical & dietary supplements, and clinical research to mitigate risks for patients and brands alike. Think about anything that goes on or in your body from a medical perspective.

Joining the CIM volunteer South West Group, Chris is here to manage and support the communications outreach via social media. Bringing the experience of managing corporate channels, groups and growing a Linkedin platform from 2k to over 15k in 2 years, he hopes to build organic engagement levels and develop relevant content to drive interest in events and interest in qualifications and courses, engendering a sense of shared community.

Elected a Fellow of the CIM in 2019 Chris is enthusiastic about continuing professional development. Having studied Advertising & Marketing at Lancaster University, he holds many qualifications in marketing, including the CIM Postgraduate Diploma and further qualifications in social media.
