Join the CIM North West Board! Education Ambassador and Events Ambassador Wanted.
The North West Board are seeking to grow the team to deliver activities and engagement to support marketing students, CIM members and marketers across the North West region. As the 3rd largest economic region in the country and with one of the highest densities of universities, not to mention many major cities in UK, there is so much to get involved with.
From offering networking opportunities and events, promoting professional marketing practice, offering career development opportunities and engagement with the wider business community – it’s an exciting time to join!
The roles are voluntary and to be eligible you must be a member of CIM at any level, based in the North West region. Appointments are for an initial term of office of three years.
Education Ambassador
Working with the Vice Chair Education, the role involves liaising with the CIM Volunteer Partnerships Manager and Learning Partnerships Manager to engage with identified partner universities with CIM accredited degrees, to promote local activities and events, deliver talks to students about marketing careers and CIM qualifications and membership. You will assist with the development of marketing clubs and societies, present prizes at strategic partner universities and liaise, where applicable, with the CIM student ambassador on campus. Details about this role can be found here. The successful candidate will ideally be passionate about marketing; a graduate who is also CIM qualified and relatable to an undergraduate audience.
Events Ambassador
Working with the Vice Chair Events and the rest of the Committee, the role involves delivering a plan for the return to face-to-face events and to contribute topics for the Webinar Express series. It will involve identifying topics, speakers and venues, sponsorship and partnership opportunities and liaising with the Volunteer Partnerships Manager and the CIM Central Events team. You will work with the committee to promote the events to members and other contacts. Details about this role can be found here.
The successful candidate will ideally be passionate about marketing, who is also CIM qualified.
