The marketing skills and experience of Jean Atkinson, Director of Eden Marketing, have been recognised by the award of Fellowship from the CIM.
Fellowships are awarded to experienced marketers who can demonstrate an exceptional track record and in Jean’s case this has included her work in business, mentoring and lecturing. This has enabled her to successfully build her own company and pursue a career as director of Eden Marketing. Founded in 2011, Jean has worked with hundreds of organisations to grow by adopting a strategic approach to marketing and upskilling the workplace.
Throughout her 22 years in marketing, Jean has worked across the public, private and third sectors, where she has freely given support to many social, academic and charitable activities in the region. These range from speaking at industry and sector conferences; educating parents and children on e-safety at all levels of schooling and providing marketing support to social enterprises including the annual North West Women’s Enterprise Day and Her Majesty’s Honours Programme.
Her current work includes supporting organisations through the development of strategies, in-house training, mentoring and consultancy. Jean also delivers the Level 4 and Level 6 CIM qualifications at Blackburn College and has achieved commendations for all the modules she has delivered.
Jean, who is also a Chartered Marketer, commented, “I am proud to receive the status of Fellow from the CIM in recognition of my experience and qualifications. I am passionate about supporting and developing marketing across the business to business arena. I believe in continuing my learning as our marketing landscape is constantly adapting and changing. I want to use this continuous learning to support my clients, advocate for marketing's place in business and encourage the next generation of marketing students."
