During these challenging times for our members, we are seeking to strengthen the North West team to deliver activities and engagement to support marketing students, CIM members and marketers across the region. The main purpose of the Regional Group is to support the work of CIM membership, PR and Education teams across the North West. Our mission is to promote ethical, professional marketing practice that delivers real benefits to marketing professionals, business and society.
The roles are voluntary and to be eligible you must be a member of CIM at any level, based in the North West. The successful candidates will be passionate about marketing and preferably CIM qualified. Appointments are for an initial term of office of three years.
Chair of the board
We have an opportunity for a senior marketer to Chair CIM’s North West Regional Group to help us create and deliver a range of activities designed to meet the career development needs of CIM members in the region This voluntary role involves planning and operations and candidates must possess the ability and commitment to lead effectively a team of volunteers. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior manager, preferably a Chartered Marketer, who not only has a passion for marketing, but also a desire to contribute time and effort to help others develop successful marketing careers.You would need to commit some time each week and attend regular online meetings. Education Ambassador
Working with the Vice Chair - Education, the role involves liaising with the CIM Volunteer Partnerships Manager and Learning Partnerships Manager to engage with identified partner universities with CIM Accredited Degrees, to promote local activities and events, deliver talks to students about marketing careers and CIM qualifications and membership. You will assist with the development of marketing clubs and societies, present prizes at strategic partner universities and liaise, where applicable, with the CIM Student Ambassador on campus. Events Ambassador
Working with the Vice Chair - Events and the rest of the Committee, the role involves delivering a plan for the return to face-to-face events in the North West and to contribute topics for the Webinar Express series. It will involve identifying topics, speakers and venues, sponsorship and partnership opportunities and liaising with the Volunteer Partnerships Manager and the CIM Central Events team. You will work with the Committee to promote the events to members and other contacts. More details about the role can be found here.
Communications Ambassador
The role, supporting the Vice Chair - Communications and working with other Communications Ambassadors, involves content marketing, curating and creating content for the North West website, developing our social media channels. You will liaise with our Events Ambassadors to promote the events programme. More details about the role can be found here.
The ambassador roles include hands-on planning and delivery of communication, education and event solutions for membership and education audiences in the North West.
