Join the Yorkshire Region Committee and help us deliver added value to our members
We have an opportunity for senior marketers to join the Yorkshire Region Committee to help create and deliver a range of activities designed to meet the career development needs of our members in the region. The main purpose of the committee is to support the work of CIM across Yorkshire. Our mission is to promote ethical, professional marketing practice that delivers real benefits to marketing professionals, business and society.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior manager, preferably a Chartered Marketer, who not only has a passion for marketing, but also a desire to contribute time and effort to help others develop successful marketing careers. These roles are voluntary and you will need to be a professional level member of CIM – ACIM, MCIM, or FCIM. Appointments are for an initial term of office of three years.
Vice Chair - Events
The role involves developing sector-specific events (face-to-face/online) to be approved by the Marketing Community Manager and the wider committee. These are delivered by the Vice Chair in collaboration with other Ambassadors. This involves identifying topics, speakers and venues, securing sponsorship and coordinating with the Events team at CIM Head Office. Collaborating with the rest of the committee to promote the events to members and other contacts.
Events Ambassador
This support role to the Vice Chair - Events involves planning and organising an annual events programme, coordinating with the Vice Chair and Events team at CIM Head Office to schedule and promote events handling pre-event administration, and event management. The ideal candidate should be CIM qualified with experience in event planning, to help support us in delivering our events schedule. We are looking for an event professional with a proven track record of developing, leading, and managing face-to-face and hybrid events with a focus on achieving results. To be eligible you must be a CIM member at any level and based in the Yorkshire region.
Communications Ambassador
The role of Communications Ambassador is to support the Vice Chair - Communications. This role involves content marketing; curating and creating content for the Yorkshire region website and social media channels. The Communications Ambassador liaises with the Vice Chair and is also a point of contact for our CIM PR and Communications team. The ideal candidate should be CIM qualified with a particular interest and experience in digital marketing, to work with us to grow our online presence and engagement. Experience in gaining maximum engagement from social media activity and understanding metrics to influence strategy and decision making together with copywriting ability. To be eligible you must be a CIM member at any level and based in the Yorkshire region.
