I have been working in the hotel industry for over 28 years, working for large global brands and independent family run operators. I have always had a passion for the sales and marketing function of a business and after graduating in a marketing degree in my 20s, I progressed within this field in the hotel industry that I was already working in – combining all my work-related passions. I am proud to be the current Director of Sales and Marketing at the Titanic Hotel in Belfast since it opened. It is one of Belfast’s most iconic buildings (formerly the Headquarters of Harland and Wolff Shipbuilding Company) that is steeped in history with a wealth of stories to tell – a marketeer’s dream! Every day I learn something new about the rich maritime history of Belfast, and I thrive on developing the business, which has gone from strength to strength since opening.

I was initially introduced to CIM by a business associate, and successfully completed my Level 6 CIM Certifications at Belfast Metropolitan College a few years back. From then on, my interest in CIM grew and I have encouraged and developed my own team members throughout the years to become CIM qualified. It is now my absolute pleasure to be a part of the Ireland Committee and to pursue my own CIM Study goals further as well as supporting and encouraging more people to do the same.
