Marketing Clubs

The CIM East of England piloted the first Marketing Club at the University of East Anglia in Norwich in September 2017. The idea was to create a local events programme that would bring university students studying business and marketing together with marketing practitioners to learn about the latest marketing trends and techniques, work together on team exercises relating to the topic of the talk, share experiences and network.

The CIM/UEA Marketing Club has been a great success and Clubs are now being run at four universities across the region:

    • University of East Anglia, Norwich
    • University of Bedfordshire, Luton
    • Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge
    • University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

Each club holds two or three events per academic year and the topics that have been covered so far include Influencer Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Ventures, Gamification of Marketing, Social Media, Customer Experience Design, Digital Creative and Branding… To name but a few.

Feedback from CIM members has been very positive and attending Club events has genuinely helped improve the employability of graduates.

Club events are listed on the CIM website events section and CIM members and non-members alike are welcome to attend.
