Summer Masterclass - Operating in a VUCA world

CIM members in the North West are invited to join an exciting one-off masterclass at Manchester Metropolitan University on branding and marketing with the Chair of Pentland Brands Ltd. Pentland Brands is a UK based, private family owned brand management company, who are behind some of the world’s most well-known sports, outdoor and fashion brands. Pentland owns global brands Speedo, Canterbury, Berghaus, Ellesse and Mitre and is the global footwear partner for Lacoste and Karen Millen.

The Group is the majority shareholder in JD Sports Fashion plc, a multichannel retailer in sports, outdoor and fashion operating 1,500 stores, Pentland employs 41,000 people and sells its products in 190 countries. During the masterclass, you will learn about operating in a VUCA world, which combines four distinct types of challenges that demand four distinct types of responses. Andy Rubin, MA, MBA, is Chair of Pentland Brands Ltd. Andy is the third generation to lead the family’s brand management business. Andy read Law at Trinity College, Cambridge University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute
