Members of the South West Regional Board are busy organising a broad range of events across the region, kicking off this autumn:

Marketing bites, Park Campus, University of Gloucestershire, 20 September

The autumn event season kicks off in Cheltenham with an update on marketing and the law; social media and a chance to revisit a traditional marketing model on 20 September 2017. The evening will include the opportunity to network and to hear from three guest speakers, Solicitor, Caroline Leviss of Willans LLP, Independent Marketing Consultant, Luan Wise and Leighton Jones, Head of Marketing and Communications at Campden BRI.

Marketing the Bournemouth Air Festival - the UK's biggest air festival, Bournemouth Town Hall, 17 October

Since its inception in 2008, the Bournemouth Air Festival has entertained more than 8.5 million people. At this event, the man behind the UK’s premier Air Festival, Jon Weaver Head of Resort Marketing and Events at Bournemouth Council, will explain how his team first came up with the idea, and the unique challenges they have encountered and surmounted. Jon's presentation will be an inspiring case study in marketing, project management, tourism, event management and teamwork.

After tomorrow – spotlight on the future challenges in tourism marketing, Launceston, 19 October

On 19 October CIM, in association with CCB part of the Cornwall College Group, is hosting an evening for tourism marketers, featuring presentations and discussions with a panel of tourism marketing experts on tomorrow’s marketing challenges. Topics will include preparing for GDPR, what’s new and what’s emerging in digital marketing and how are fellow tourism marketers meeting current and preparing for the marketing challenges ahead.
