Without development, it can be argued that we are already, all that we will ever become.  I am particularly reminded that for some of us, a particular torment, could very well start, when the person we are, finally meets up with the person we could have become, but didn’t!

In fact, maintaining our professional credentials and honing our skills via purposeful learning and in turn progressing our marketing careers, can often feel like an ever-present challenge that preoccupies us in our quieter moments at least.  Getting our efforts acknowledged and making our development stimulating and meaningful, is often at the heart of this important area of our professional practice.  It is often said that the best way to get recognised, is of course to get someone who is recognised themselves, to recognise us in some way and we as the world’s leading professional marketing body is well placed to facilitate this of course.

As we know, our vision is for marketing to be recognised for playing a pivotal role in business, constantly harnessing, integrating and acting on our collective intelligence. In turn within our Region, we see this being a people based vision that not only facilitates CPD and Chartered status, but also allows us to provide a range of relevant ways for our members to tailor their own development, either unto itself, or as an important component of a more composite development portfolio. 

Indeed, we see adding value to our ability to develop confidence and sense of professional worth, via our ongoing support our fellow members, who are already striving to be all that they can be, to be at the very core of what we do as a Board, and our range of activities are purposefully designed with this in mind.
