Some descriptionMaureen Wincott has been appointed CIM network manager for the South West.

Maureen will be taking over the role in June from Christine Boswell-Munday following an internal reorganization. Chris is a familiar face to many members in the region having been in post for many years. Lately, she has been managing the South West and Midland regions, and CIM’s Market Sector Groups (SIGS). In future Chris will be concentrating on supporting and developing the SIG network.

Maureen joined CIM over fourteen months ago as a network manager with a remit for education, giving Maureen the opportunity to develop strong relationships with many further and higher education providers across the South West and beyond. Maureen will now combine her education role and deliver CIM’s strategy for membership services in the region.

Maureen has a passion for developing and inspiring tomorrow’s marketing community, she says: “I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen relationships with further and higher education establishments to facilitate the delivery of professional marketing qualifications, whilst supporting the regional board in providing a range of activities and events for both members and non–members, whilst continuing to raise awareness of professional marketing as a key driver for growth within the region’s business community.”

Some descriptionChristine, we are pleased to report, will be keeping in contact with many members though SIG events in the region.  Vice chair of the Regional Board, Fiona Spencer, who has been a board member for the last two years, following many years involvement with CIM said: “Christine has provided the board with unstinting support and guidance.  During her time in post there have been many developments, both economically and with CIM repositioning itself to provide greater support and relevance to its membership. Christine has steered us through these times with great tenacity to ensure as a board we are working to support professional marketers and develop and raise awareness of professional marketing practice to businesses across the region.”
