Measuring ROI on social media is right on target

CIM Gloucestershire chair and marketing consultant, Luan Wise, firstly introduced the concept of calculating return on investment on social media activity before discussing the importance of objective setting and key methods and techniques for measuring activity.

Fellow presenter, Lawrence Roberts from LJR Digital Marketing Ltd, examined Google Analytics and how it can provide the data needed to calculate the return on social media investment.

In summary the key messages from the event were: 
• Have a plan. 
• Know what success looks like. 
• Understand your audience. 
• Think conversion and measure each social network separately.
