North West marketer, Jane Hunt, is celebrating after winning two out of five categories she was shortlisted in at the CIM Northern Awards.

Held at the Monastery, Manchester on Thursday 09 November, the CIM Northern Awards celebrated the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the region. There were 17 award categories, 13 of which were open to entries, and the evening was hosted by TV's Andy Crane.

Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM, said "Congratulations to Jane, who is a very worthy double winner."  Claire Gavin from Pets at Home, who judged the B2C category in which Jane entered her work for Langley Castle on Northumberland Day, said, "This took a brave and ambitious approach across a broad range of channels with many innovative and challenging strands to the campaign."  Paul Skinner, who judged the Consultant/Freelancer category, said "Jane is a talented PR specialist with an eclectic range of client work in the UK and in international markets."  Her application demonstrated sound insight, careful planning, colourful creativity, and clear determination. This award is in recognition of the creative flair she evidenced and her entrepreneurial approach to implementing client solutions that achieved exceptional results."

Jane, who runs Catapult PR on the Fylde coast, was also shortlisted in the Integrated Campaign, Best Use of Creative and Best Campaign categories.  She said, "It is a great honour to win these two prestigious awards and to hear the judges' comments. It is particularly pleasing to be acknowledged by the UK marketing world's most recognised organisation and to have our public relations work judged worthy of winning in a generic marketing context.  I feel this is a triumph for PR and its role within the marketing mix."
