- Achieving Effective B2B Social Media
At a CIM Midlands social media workshop delegates not only benefited from insight into the topic, but also came away armed with tips to enable them to get results from using social media in a business-to-business context.
CIM Fellow/Chartered Marketer Luan Wise returned to the Holiday Inn Express in Northampton on March 7 to lead another highly successful ‘Social Media for B2B’ event.
As well as highlighting the major differences between business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing, Luan discussed how the B2B buying process has changed and why social media is now so important in reaching decision makers.
The session focused specifically on LinkedIn and Twitter, with top tips for optimising profiles, making connections and advice on useful tools, such as Twitter lists.
CIM volunteer and event organiser Sue Hollingshead commented: "The point of business-to-business social media is clear – it’s all about brand awareness, customer service and reaching target audiences with relevant content.
“Luan covered many aspects, delving into the finer points to make sure that delegates had a better understanding of the subject and could take away ideas that they could put into practice straight away.”
